Shave Ice and Board Giveway at the 5th Annual Live Like Sion GromFest

July 23, 2016 marked the 5th Annual Live Like Sion GromFest at PKʻs in Poipu. An event designed to encourage the keiki to love and play in the ocean, it memorializes a great man, Sion Milosky.

Fantastic weather made for a delightful Saturday catching up with old friends and watching the keiki shine.  The feeling of ohana was thick in the air, and the kids were as happy as could be. To top it off, this marks that 5th year that Tamba himself has stoked out the kids with free shave ice all afternoon. Surfing, shave ice, and sunshine were in ample supply. What else could you ask for?

After hours of cooling off folks with delicious treats, Tamba gifted two boards in the board giveaway, along with Aukai Lee of Dark Meat Productions and Will Scovel of Scovel Surfboards. Now, if you thought those keiki were excited about the shave ice, well, they were out of their minds with anticipation.

The board giveaway marked the end of the long day of friendly competition, complete with a two hour sky-stretching rainbow.

The lucky kids who received the boards were Kamaehu and Ryder. The look on their faces was worth it all.

Supporting local events is the lifeblood of Tamba. We love being with our ohana and making great moments even more special, especially for the keiki. Weʻre so lucky to have the best friends and family on the planet.
